I just can’t get enough of the magic of a sundown. Here, one of my favorites from the Oregon coast.

Have been enjoying bits and pieces from your blog this morning. Are you Oregonians when not traveling the world? Foot Friday seems to have a healthy dose of Oregon and it brings back fond memories of last summer when my wife and I biked the coast (a recent topic of my blog).
Do you have any advice about the suitability of the Willamette Valley for bicycle touring? We are thinking of making a loop that starts in Eugene, up the valley, over to the coast, down to Florence (our favorite!), and back inland to Eugene.
Thanks again for sharing your travels!
Hi Trevor and welcome to the site! We are Oregonians, my husband a 3rd generation native (nearly unheard of) and myself a transplant. It’s a gorgeous state and I’m glad you’ve been able to enjoy it. The Willamette Valley is ideal for biking; relatively flat (except crossing the coast range) great scenery, small farms, quaint towns, lots of wine tasting! I’m sure you’d have a fantastic time.
