One year ago today, we went to the Humane Society and brought home our sweet boy Porter. Still reeling from the loss of our beloved Maddy, we knew that having a new fur face would help heal our hearts and bring life back into our house.
He quickly became the new heart and soul to the house, proving to be a silly guy, brimming over with a quirky, silly personality.
As with all rescue dogs, we don’t know anything about his past except that he was found on the streets near Klamath Falls. Once we realized just how problem-solving bright he was, we came to understand he could have easily simply decided he was done living somewhere and let himself out to find a new home! He immediately became part of the family, entertaining us daily with his happy dance when we arrived home from a day at work.
The story of his loneliness has already been documented, so I’ll just say that he is a much happier boy since we brought him home a playmate in the form of Aspen! A bit complicated, a bit challenging, Porter is super bright, super loving, and has firmly wagged himself into our hearts. We can’t wait for years of doggie love ahead. Happy first year as a Delameter sweet boy!
