India, a magical, life changing place. For months, everywhere we went, we were mobbed by Indians wanting to take their photo with us, invite us to dinner, and chat with us while we tried to take in a serene sunset. What to do? Surrender to the power of India and embrace the chaos!

Wherever we travel, few can pronounce my name, but Jim seems to be universally understood. In post bombing Bali, tourists were scarce and the local businesses were in desperate shape.

Finding Meaning in Luxor
The sun beat down as temperatures reached the upper 90’s. Sweat dripped off us as we hurried from shady spot to shady spot long the nearly empty streets. The heat even sapped the energy from the few, endlessly persistent touts who still roamed around looking for tourist dollars.

Oh, the joy of a sunset. A sundowner is one of the favorite part of any day of ours, and we have experienced thousands of spectacular ones throughout the world. The end of one day, transforming into the night before the cycle begins again is consistently magical. This one, from the scenic coast of Oregon.
Soaking in Southern Comfort
The pink limo pulled up in front of our camping cabin at the Graceland RV park. Taste buds drooling, we climbed in for our short ride to Marlowe’s BBQ restaurant, a BBQ institution in Memphis. The food was amazing as promised; BBQ chicken and ribs, creamy potato salad, tangy coleslaw, freshly made biscuits, and southern sweet tea. Life was tasty!
